Our Senior Retreat
We simply called it “Plano,” but its actual name is the La Salle Manor Retreat Center and it’s still providing self-reflection for many in a beautiful natural setting.
The Center was established in 1958 to serve Catholic high school students with staff led retreats. Since then, they have served more than 250,000 people. While they continue serving high school students, many religious and other organizations reserve the La Salle Manor to facilitate their own retreats and conferences.
La Salle Manor is located at 12480 Galena Road on 47 acres in rural Plano and owned by the Brothers of the Christian Schools. If you’d like to visit, email Bob Dressel, president of the retreat center, [email protected] or call 630-552-3224.
Many of us have memories of our retreat senior year. Several of us took home the post cards that were in our room as a souvenir.
Here’s one below to share.
Our late classmate Vince Matassa sent this post card to his cousin, Gail Caliendo. She would later marry John O’Brien, also Class of ’67.
