Class of ’67 Knights Victorious in O’Hare 5K
Five members of the St. Mel cross country track team from nearly 50 years ago proved that Knights can still be fleet of foot and victorious. Louie Cuevas, Thom Alcazar, Angel Marrero, Jimmy Greenwald, and Art Perez ran as a team from start to finish in the September 27, 2015 O'Hare 5K at the airport’s new Runway 10 R. The event was sponsored by United Airlines in conjunction with the Chicago Department of Aviation.
Proceeds benefited the March of Dimes. Angel Marrero coordinated the Knights’ participation.
